The Transtronics No-Trip" Power Filter is a third generation transient filter designed to protect line operated equipment from transients and over-voltages. Unlike "protectors", it will not trip circuit breakers on most transients thus reducing service calls. It works by first isolating the load from the transients, instead of the "crowbar" shorting action used by other protectors. Next, there is a two stage clamp circuit; the first stage clamps the fast transients and the second stage clamps the high power (up to 20 KA impulse discharge current) to give "bullet proof" protection.

* The term "symmetrical voltages" means that these rating apply to any two leads coming from the tube. Many tubes require twice the firing voltage end to end as from middle to end exposing equipment up to 4 times the destructive power
